Abigail’s journey in athletics began in 2004 after being talent-spotted at an Air Training Corps athletics competition. Just two years later, she proudly represented England at the British Schools Championships.​ The path to the top wasn’t smooth however – Olympic heartbreaks, several surgeries and even a brief retirement from sport – it is the lessons learned in these seasons, and goals achieved despite the setbacks that Abigail speaks about – high performance resilience. ​

Though no longer jumping into a sand pit, Abigail continues to live and lead with passion and purpose. She is the 2025 Regional President of the Professional Speaking Association (North-West). She is also currently finalising for her full-time MBA at Alliance Manchester Business School.
